Ailish is the most lovely woman who has a huge passion for weddings. Her caring gentle and personal approach make every visit super special and unique for every customer. When planning her own wedding 5 years ago she struggled to find the dress that she wanted. She found so many dress designers that weren't accessible to brides in Ireland and it was after this that she decided to open BÁN Bridal.

Some Top Tips from Ailish for Shopping for the Dream Dress 

• Keep your circle small when going shopping for the dress. It can be overwhelming and with too many people leads to too many opinions. 
• Don't be afraid to go shopping on your own and then bring your friends and family along to another day 
• To a Fitting: Bring comfortable high waist seamless briefs, a comfortable strapless bra and maybe bring your own high shoes similar in height to what you plan on wearing on the day 
• Research is so important. Please do your own research before coming into a bridal shop, look up what designers the store stocks. Try to be familiar with the dresses before hand before the fitting 
• Check what designers each store stocks before hand and take some screenshots of some of the styles you like 
• For Alterations, normally takes place 2 months before the date of the wedding. Now with the Corona Virus, there are quick turn around times for those who need assistance with time constraints. 
• Start Shopping when you are physically, emotionally and financially set !! Normally 10 months beforehand 
• If you are worrying about trying to find the perfect dress and now due to COVID 19 you are not able to try on any dresses don't stress. Ailish mentioned that a lot of her suppliers have shortened their turnaround time and have also added more dresses to suppliers stock so no need to stress or worry. You will get your dress. Anything is possible and some dresses have taken as short as 3 weeks to turn around so for now relax and breathe and you will be in good hands in a few weeks when we get back to normality.

• Fairy Liquid can be a stain remover for Wedding Dresses so that's one to add to our Emergency List.
• Top Tips on How to Store your Wedding Dress if you have it at home now :
  • Don't store in a plastic bag 
  • If the dress fits in dust protected bag then leave in this and try to leave it flat 
  • Wrapping the dress in a Bed Sheet and stored flat and maybe folded over twice if you cant lay it fully flat
